Joining the EPC

For Ordinands, Transfers, and Commissioned Pastor Applicants

All the information you need can be found under the tab that corresponds with your current journey.

If you wish to be examined at the next New River Presbytery meeting (May 3-4, 2024, in Lynchburg, VA), the deadline for all candidate paperwork is Monday, March 11, 2024. Oral exams will occur at Lake Forest EPC in Huntersville, NC, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. If you are an ordinand, EPC written exams must be passed before participation in oral exams.

There is necessary paperwork involved as with any recognized and established connectional denomination. You are beginning a process of transfer into the New River Presbytery and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). There is necessary paperwork involved as with any recognized and established connectional denomination. The following forms and documents are required, either for ecclesiastical standards or to meet legal requirements of state and/or Federal law.
